lyrics

When days are new and life is young
Smell of a flower, warmth of the sun
We go through one step at a time
Presence of presence is a sign
The feelings stronger every day
Our eyes awake to all the color's rays
Connecting with all that we've seen
Cause through our eyes it's Emerald Green
and we can see

But some are blinded by the light
Colors askew in their line of sight
They can't see past the cimmerian dark
And fear that they must have lost their spark
They'll say "why won't anything go my way"
When life gives them the night more than day
The world can seem so very grey
And then that grey it fades to jade
Oh jade

You think you'll never have it made
The world's too fargone
For you to sing your song
And as we grow and seek and find
Oh what's left behind is knowing
When the colors fade to grey
They don't have to stay that way

And as we rise and wax and wain
Stumbling through each day trying to stay sane
Waking up just to go right back to bed
Want to be here instead inside our heads
How can we make it through another day
When it seems life gives us so little say
Feeling our hope starting to fade
Because all that we see is
Oh jade

But look inside and you can see
A new light shining bright as it could be
It never went away, it was always there
Buried under piles of dark and despair
The feelings stronger every day
Our eyes reawaken to the color's rays
Connecting with all that we've seen
Watch it turn into Emerald Green
Oh, it's the best we've ever seen

Oh, Emerald Green
We can't erase the things we've seen
But we can make them Emerald Green
